Systemic inflammation markers of diet-induced metabolic syndrome in rat model

Chronic systemic inflammation is essential in many chronic non-infectious diseases, including type 2 diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome (MS). This study aimed at characterization of inflammatory reaction as a component diet-induced MS rat model. Thirty-three male Wistar rats were distributed into two groups designated 'control' (n = 15) 'experimental (MS)' 18). The fed, respectively, regular high-fat/high-carbohydrate diets for 12 weeks. intensity process against the background impairments was assessed by total differential counts white blood cells serum levels protein, C-reactive cytokines (IL6, IL10 TNFα), insulin leptin. Pairwise positive correlations leptin (r 0.701; 0.001) 0.523; 0.012). Thus, high-fat/ high-carbohydrate diet promoted concomitantly with early characteristic obesity.
